Posthuman Jeopardy! with artist Peter Burr and ChatGPT

Join Mutamur for one of its most unhinged radio show formats, where your hosts play a fast and loose game of Jeopardy! with artists on the air. We are joined in this episode by Peter Burr, a digital and new media artist from Brooklyn who engages with tools of the video game industry in the form of immersive cinematic artworks. For Posthumanist Jeopardy!, Burr shares insights into how dreams become fiction and why we need them; the argument for plasticity and play within dystopian environments; and how the Russian avant-gardes are giving a real vibe in 2023. We also invited ChatGPT along as a co-host.

Our categories today are:

• Dead, Alive, or Chinese Spy Balloon?

• Inflated Bags of Air and Why They’ll Never Love You Back

• Conflicting Nonconformisms

• Excuse me, Waiter, Can We Have Some Asphalt?

Peter’s work can be found on his website https://www.peterburr.org/ and has been presented internationally by various institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, The Barbican Centre, Documenta 14, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He is a current PhD candidate in video games at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
